There are a few teas that are considered safe for a pregnant woman to drink, though there are also many that are best avoided until after pregnancy to avoid complications. However, drink teas that can sometimes offer some helpful benefits for women that are pregnant or breast feeding.

Corn silk tea is generally considered to be safe during pregnancy and breast feeding when it is taken in small amounts. It can be used to ease urinary infections though because corn silk tea is a diuretic, a woman that is pregnant should consult a physician prior to taking corn silk tea to ensure that it is the best choice for her as well as the developing baby. Caution should also be taken for those that have low or high blood pressure since corn silk tea can have an effect on blood pressure.
